First, I have a job interview at Yazaki North America tomorrow afternoon for an engineering intern position that just opened up. And I just laid my tan vinyl over my replacement door cards, and wow. I’ve never been much a fan of light colored interiors, but I could get use to the way this looks.
It just looks more expensive and fancier than all black, for some reason. I’ve always liked tan Fezza interiors though and that could be the reason. They’ve always been the exception.

The thing about light interiors is that they add volume to your interior. They also add a lovely amount of contrast for that just-a-little-bit-more-luxurious feel.
I will not be separated from my 90s fabric with multicolored stitching, though. That’s my childhood, dammit!

I’m not sure I understand the volume they add, the contrast makes sense.

By using a more pale color, it helps to add a feeling of openness to the interior, especially if the greenhouse somewhat lacks in that respect. I’ve sat in a car with an all-black interior and one with off-white/beige interior, and the beige one felt far more open.

The light makes it feel roomier.

Good luck with the interview!
+1 on light-coloured interiors. Makes it feel so much warmer to me.
